Here is a shot looking towards the Garfagnana, the mountainous region belonging to Lucca, taken from my bedroom window in La Casetta. Somewhere, spiraling inside those clouds, is a snow-storm. Short-lived. An hour later, the sun blazing away and aided by the sea breezes from the Mediterranean, the clouds evaporated. Their presence left an odd contrast of a velvety brown of the leaf-less forests and a white dusting of snow across the mountain tops. A natural mottled minimalism.
