- I am an American living in Genoa, Italy with an Italian boy-friend named Roberto and a Weimaraner named Moses... a 50th birthday gift from that Italian. So far, I've spent 13 years with the first and 9 with the second. What first brought me to Italy, in 1988, was fashion. And, for 15 years I designed a hell of a lot of clothes & shoes, though mostly shoes.
