At about 10:57AM, A Little Voice told me... Go out & burn! Baby, burn!!! And so, I did.
I love to burn!!! It is so satisfying. However, I am not keen on the materials I must use to make a good fire. It is important to be safe. Mostly, it's the diesel fuel which, I must douse to keep the flames going when The Stuff to be burned is slightly wet, frozen stiff or too green to burn well. Yet, it's safer than using unleaded. That will blow-up in your face, singeing every available hair on your facey-face!!! I know. In my very early days as a novice pyro-maniac, I mistakenly used unleaded. ONLY once, though. I learned. Finally, I got my Scottish eye-brows back. And then, there are these white, flat blocks of fire-starters, which leave a yucky petroleum smell on your hands. Yes... Wear gloves, you say? Fine. You try to strike a match with one-size-fits-all garden-gloves which, invariably, are way too big for my dinky American mitts.
By the way... it did start to rain... just as the Italian Colonel had said... at 2:03PM. Gads.
