I want a re-inforced concrete & rock-faced wall like this...
but, built here!!!
This project has been pushed up to NOW!!!... well, when the night-time temps have remained above 0 for a good long while... rather than this summer. Fresh concrete reacts poorly with cold to freezing temperatures. Once the wall is completed, I can really go to work in this area of the Garden. I am going to try to squeeze-in a mini-forest above the wall, to give a break to La Spianata... or, the grassy plateau... ???... below the rock wall in the first photo... from the upper terraces. There are already several plants in place. They have done real well. A little ol' lady told me it is because the Mother Earth there is grassa... or, fat!!! Fine. Good. Excellent. Knowing that, I am just going to add more & see what happens. Gads.
