A Photographic Tour Of Phase IV...

Met with Our Geometra and the builder this morning. They were taking a tour of La Casa Grande for purposes of formulating & furnishing an estimate for Phase IV. Here is a brief photographic tour of what was confirmed...
the Entrance Hallway will have a step just inside the front door... missing its swing by a few centimeters... because that concrete bump is actually the stone of the vault of the Stanza dei Trogoli below. I thought we could just demolish the concrete. Turns out we can't. New wall for My Bathroom on the left with a new door too. Ceiling gets painted White and the iron beams a wonderful & industrial looking Anthracite. Flooring is terra-cotta. And the wall color? I'm not there yet. In the meantime...
Dr. You read the latest postings about My Color Trial & Tribulations. He called me and I had to listen to his half-hour Point-of-View. The gist of this telephonic discourse was the two Beeg Roooomz should be formal, in case we want to rent them out for wedding, baptismal, confirmation dinners/luncheons, etc. Fine but, I want to live in these spaces while renting out La Casetta & Apt. Azzuro. I think my horoscope mentioned something about being broadsided by a Differing Opinion today!!!
the Stanze Grande 1 will get its archway so folk can pass from one SG to the other. That niche to the right in the photo will get plugged on the SG1's side. It will have shelving towards the SG2. Again, terra-cotta flooring and I want Violet or, Indigo for the paint color here. Well, there will be better colors than blogspot's offering. Whether I get My Color of Choice is a matter of another discussion with Dr. You... and you can bet on that!!!
the Cucina/Sala da Pranzo/Zona di Seduta will have the kitchen cabinets, silos & shelving as per the posting on the Kitchen... in the corner and a third window will be built out of the right hand niche. Ditto for flooring. Now, the latest Color Scheme which I can stomach is the following...
Walls in a Red Geranium...
the floors in terra-cotta...
the cabinets, silos & shelving in Blackened Chestnut...
and finally, the window mouldings in OSLBlue-Grey.
as for the Bathroom, this ex-door, made so because we raised the floor level of the Loggia will be closed up. Everyone & their brother barked at me with their Privacy Issues having an open window next door to where people eat. OK. Gone. No idea of color here. It was once Beige with Acquamarine accents. I can deal with the Beige. The Acquamarine, no. However, I must admit to wanting Pomegranate, since that won't be going in the Cucina/Sala da Pranzo/Zona di Seduta.
and lastly, the Eastern facade of La Casa Grande will change... that dippy window on the far left will be made much larger and another window will appear on the far right and a little off-center to the door below it in the photo.
Other details to follow.
Isn't this exciting? Gads.
